The Ilikai is conveniently located within easy walking distance of the Ala Moana shopping center mall [which features the Foodland grocery store], Ala Moana Beach Park, the Hawaii Convention Center and the many hotels, restaurants and shops of central Waikiki!
The unit is fully furnished with linens, towels , kitchen, coffee maker, rice cooker, toaster...most everything you may need. *** Wine drinkers may want to pack plastic wine glasses and a wine opener...it seems everyone takes ours to the beach and they get broken or disappear all the time, so we no longer stock these items. For those with small infants, we provide pack n play portable crib

You have rented a privately owned condo so just proceed directly to your condo and enter your entry door code, the light will turn green indicating you entered the correct number, TURN TOP KNOB to unlock the deadbolt and then use the bottom handle to open door. The inside knob must always be turned to lock the door. When leaving the room, just close the door, press the top "schledge" button and turn the deadbolt to lock. Please read the Welcome Guest Sheet in the room, there should be one on the counter and one on the back of the entrance door. Make sure to take this form with you so you have our numbers, no one else knows your entry door code. Please remember, you must be out of the unit by 11am or you will be locked out on check out day and charged for a late check out
There is no checking in desk. You have rented a privately owned condo so just proceed directly to your condo and enter your entry door code.
This unit is not part of the hotel pool. This property is independently owned and managed and does not offer/include daily cleanings or linen services. This property does not include daily service, and requests may be pushed to the next business day.

Do You Need A Car in Waikiki?
You DO NOT need a car in Waikiki. Everything in Waikiki is within walking distance. There is little parking in Waikiki, and what parking there is, is very expensive. We recommend that all visitors rent a car for just 1-2 days after arriving to drive around the island but 80% of your time will be walking around and enjoying Waikiki.
It is recommended that you book online rather than walking up to the counter in Hawaii to rent a car. You will save around 30%. There is also an Advantage Car Rental desk right by the front desk in the lobby.
Did you know to walk from one end of Waikiki Beach to the other end is just a 25 minute walk? That is it.
Visiting locations
Visiting locations on this side of the island is a snap without a car. There are tons of companies that service the whole area with super inexpensive shuttle bus service. For example, for just $11 round trip, they pick you up at the front door and take you to Hanama Bay, includes snorkel, mask and fins. Same price to the huge flea market at Aloha Stadium. Pearl Harbour is also appx. $14 round trip with shuttle bus and you get inside info from the drivers.
Parking: Valet Parking is $45 per day. Other options include parking at the outside public parking on the ocean side of the building behind our beach ramp in designated spots for $1 an hour. There are machines at each lot that take credit card or cash payments. The free parking on the left side is from 6:30am to 10:30pm, outside those hours all cars are towed away so read all signs posted.
Red Lobster Parking
Across the street on the west side on Hobron Lane is Red Lobster. There is a parking garage located there that offers parking for $23 per day. Please check rates upon arrival.

DOOR KEYPAD & SELF CHECK-IN
You will receive a unique door code before arrival.
Proceed directly to your room for self check-in and check-out.
All door codes are automatically disabled at 11:00 AM on check-out day.
Early Arrival:
The Bell Captain can store bags for $2 per bag.
INTERNET / WIFI
Each unit has its own WiFi modem near the TV.
The SSID and password are printed on the modem (case sensitive).

MAINTENANCE & CLEANING
If anything in the unit needs attention, please notify us within 48 hours of arrival.
The unit is cleaned before arrival and after departure.

SMOKING POLICY (STRICT)
The Ilikai is a 100% smoke-free property.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property, including:
Inside the unit
On the lanai
Common areas
Violations incur fines of $250–$500.
No Pets or Parties Allowed.
CLOTHING, LAUNDRY & STORAGE
Clothing, towels, or laundry may not be hung from lanais, windows, or doors.
Items must not be visible from outside the unit.
FIRE SPRINKLER SAFETY
Nothing may be hung from, attached to, or placed near any fire sprinkler.
Tampering will cause flooding and severe damage.
Guests are responsible for all damages caused by improper use.
PERSONAL PROPERTY
The following items may not be stored in hallways, common areas, or visible on lanais:
Surfboards / boogie boards
Bicycles / mopeds
Trash bags
Personal belongings of any kind
Items left in common areas may be removed at the guest’s expense.
AIR CONDITIONING
To ensure proper operation:
Turn off A/C when leaving the unit
Do NOT run A/C with the lanai doors open
Slider doors must be completely closed for A/C to activate
Use the remote to control temperature
Do NOT set temperature below 72°F

TRASH DISPOSAL
All garbage must be taken to the Trash Room located next to the elevators on each floor.

Shake sand outside the lobby area before entering the building.
Sand damages plumbing and appliances.

All Ilikai units use the same Spectrum cable service.
